Today's Daily Soap {Scripture | Observation | Application | Prayer}
  • S: Jesus answered, "I tell you the truth, you are looking for me, not because you saw miraculous signs but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. 27Do not work for food that spoils, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. On him God the Father has placed his seal of approval." Then they asked him, "What must we do to do the works God requires?" Jesus answered, "The work of God is this: to believe in the one he has sent." John 6:26-29 [NIV]
  • O: The one requirement of God: believe in the One He has sent.
  • A: Good deeds, living right, going to church regularly, being Baptized -- these are all things too commonly accepted as tickets to Heaven. Jesus Christ Himself said only one thing is necessary to do the works of God: ...believe in the One He has sent. For it is by His grace, through our faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, that we are saved. Meet that one small requirement -- believe -- and everything else will fall into place.
  • P: Thank You for making it so easy to receive the gift of Salvation.
