The Curse of Daylight Saving Time

Fall back, get an extra hour of sleep? Right! Whomever said that didn't have kids.

My kids were up this morning at exactly the same time they wake up every morning. Which is to say, exactly one hour earlier by the newly adjusted time on the clock. Which means instead of an hour more of sleep, we have an hour more awake with the kids today. That's a nice thing, yeah, but that extra hour of sleep sure would have been nice.

I've said it before (here, and here, and here), and I'll say it again: the abolition of Daylight Saving Time is long overdue.
