September 11, 2001, Tuesday, 8:59 am (Indiana East)What a crazy morning! At about 8:42 this morning, a hi-jacked commercial plane crashed into one tower of the World Trade Center in New York. Then, 18 minutes later, another flight crashed into the other tower. Then, about 37 minutes later, there was an as-yet unknown explosion at the Pentagon in Washington, D.C. Now the FAA has banned all take-offs at all airports in the country. The President has declared it an apparent terrorist attack, and is meeting with his National Security Advisors this morning to determine what to do next.
